The notes take longer than the patient.
Less evening paperwork for clinicians, with privacy and clinical judgment kept firmly in human hands.
Turn my dictated notes into our standard visit note format. Do not add anything I did not say. List anything that seems to be missing.
Local modelturns your dictation into the clinic note format, on your own computer
Local modellists anything the note seems to be missing, without guessing it
Visit note, ready to sign
- Written in your clinic format, nothing added
- Missing: blood pressure was not dictated
- Follow-up date left blank for you to fill
The appointment took twelve minutes. Writing it up takes fifteen. Multiply that by a full day and the clinic closes at six while the paperwork finishes at eight.
- Clinicians write up notes long after the last patient
- Each person formats letters a little differently
- New staff learn the clinic's style by trial and error
Try it yourself in Luminair
Six steps. No setup beyond the AI plan you already have.
- 1
Install Luminair and sign in
Download Luminair and open it. Go to Settings → Models → Add account and sign in with an AI plan you already pay for, like Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini. For patient details, add a model that runs on your own computer through Ollama or LM Studio instead.
- 2
Make a folder for this job
In the sidebar, choose New folder… and name it “Clinic”. Then choose New session in this folder. Everything for this job stays together.
- 3
Bring the information in
You need: your dictated notes and your note template. Drag the files into the chat or use Attach files. Nothing leaves your computer.
- 4
Ask for the result
Paste this into the session, or say it in your own words:
Turn my dictated notes into our standard visit note format. Do not add anything I did not say. List anything that seems to be missing.
- 5
Get a second opinion
Ask the session to check its own draft against your dictation:
Compare this note with my dictation. Is there anything here I did not actually say?
- 6
Make it repeat
Open Flows → New and add the steps: Take the dictated notes → Structure them into the clinic format → List gaps for the clinician to fill. Choose when it runs, like every Monday at 09:00. Nothing is sent or changed until you approve it.
How it plays out
Decide the rules first
Before anything else, choose where the work runs. Luminair can use a model that runs on your own computer, through Ollama or LM Studio, so notes are not sent to an outside provider. Write your limits into house rules.
Speak, then tidy
Dictate your impressions after a visit. Ask for them structured into your clinic's note format or a referral letter. You read, correct and sign.
Share the good examples
Keep anonymised templates in a shared Journal: how the clinic writes a routine follow up, a referral, discharge advice. New staff start from those.
You stay in charge
Luminair is not a medical device and makes no clinical decisions. With a cloud model, what you send goes to that provider, so check your own privacy obligations and choose a local model where you need to. It does not connect to your patient record system.
The writing gets shorter, the format gets consistent, and the clinician's attention goes back to the person in the room.
